Slip Slap and Slop Your Way into Spring

It’s finally spring, and it’s time to slip on a shirt, slop on the sunscreen, and slap on a hat.  Protecting yourself from the sun doesn’t have to be a pain.  Sun protection has never looked so fashionable, with the help of these five items. 
  Sunglasses are perfect for almost any situation: hiking, walking to the mall, or going to the beach.  My rule for shades: bigger is better.  Larger pairs not only protect more of the face, but they also give you that celebrity look. 
Let’s face it; sunscreen is a chore to put on.  If you’re like me and have a hard time “remembering” to put it on, find a foundation with an SPF in it.  Makeup’s not your thing?  Many moisturizers and lip balms also contain SPF.  You can’t get more convenient than that.
It’s time to take off the toque and put on a hat that protects your face.  If you are convinced hats don’t suit you, think again.  With floppy hats, baseball caps, and fedoras, there is a hat out there to suit everyone.

Close toed, wedge, flip flops: there are an abundance of spring shoes.  If I’m going to the beach, I stick to the classic flip-flops.  If I’m heading to the park, canvas shoes (Toms?) are my shoe of choice since they protect my feet from those harsh rays.   
With the warmer months rolling in, hydration is key.  Why not make your reusable water bottle an accessory?  If I have a cute bottle, I reach for it more throughout the day.  You need at least 8 glasses of water a day (more if you’re exercising/sweating!), so drink up.

By keeping these 5 items handy, dehydration, sore feet, and sunburn’s are things of the past.
