Fashionable Hand Warmers

Keep your hands warm this Winter, but fashionably please - no more chunky unfitted sweater-like gloves!  Pair your fabulous wool winter coat with a pair of stylish gloves like these Victorian-era like ones from H&M with keyhole cutouts.  You say you just have a plain, black coat? Not to worry at all - add color to your outfit with chic gloves like the Jessica brand at Sears.  And if you feel extra stylish one day, try pairing long leather gloves with a short-sleeve fitted jacket - this look works especially well at holiday parties.  Enjoy and happy holidays!

Like this fabulous piece from Le Chateau - Stretch Satin Tulip Tube Dress with Studded Pockets.  The "rock & roll" pocket embellishment add personality and unique sense of style to this "little black dress". Pair this dress with a fitting black leather jacket - you are really ready to roll at your next holiday bash!

All That Jazz with Sequins

This Winter it's all about sequins and lots of them! From dresses, jackets, to leggings and shoes.  Be extra cautious though when picking your sequins: do not pair sequins with flashy accessories or else you will look like a Christmas tree; try to pick just one piece of clothing with sequins but absolutely not head to toe (unless it's a fabulous one-piece dress); sequins come in many shades - black, silver, or gold sequins say class all the way and are perfect for the holiday parties.  Tristan or H&M have great sequin pieces this Winter.

Olympic Fashion is Here to Stay

The 2010 Olympic fashion is bold, powerful, inspirational yet stylish - they do us Canadians proud! The designs were inspired by Canadian icons like Pierre Trudeau, Terry Fox, Bryan Adams and even Bob and Doug Mackenzie. The fashion line includes 28 pieces plus another 12 accessories and some will be worn by athletes at the 2010 opening ceremonies (a mix of various elements ranging from $10 for a kid's hat, to a $350 hand-knitted sweater, reminiscent of a Cowichan sweater). The clothing is "a traditional palette of red and vintage white, fortified by black and combined with an athletic heather grey," said Bay's fashion director Suzanne Timmins. We named our palette, 'True North Strong and Gris.'" Visit The Bay or Zellers in Coquitlam Centre or http://store.hbc.com/ for more information.
